Mens Winter League Competition Rules

Ingleby Barwick Golf Academy Mens Winter League Competition

This is a 12 week competition, with the best 6 from 12 scores to count, played over the front 9 holes, or mats if in play. Each round will be handicap qualifying if no more than 2 winter greens in play.

9 holes Stableford score to count, the top 15 scores each week will score points, 15 points for 1st place to 1 point for 15th place. After week 12, the top 8 players in the league will compete in the knockout stages to decide the winter league winner & runner up. (See winter singles k/o rules for format).

Use course handicap tables, for Men’s Yellow front9 table to obtain course handicap, for handicap qualifying rounds this is 95% of your course handicap.

If any member in the top 8 drops out in the first knockout round, or can’t play their knockout game then the player in 9th position will be added to the draw and so on until we have 8 players for the knockout stages. If you drop out after the Q/F round has started then your opponent will be given a bye to the next round.
If 2 or more players are tied on points in the top 8 or 8 & 9th positions then positions will be established by highest individual weekly scores, i.e. number of 15 point scores then number of 14 point scores and so on.

Please arrange your own games and tee times. You must sign the book on the day you are playing.  Each round should be played weekly from the dates given.

If more than 25% of the total number of entrants play in any week then those scores will count.

If you are still in the competition after February 1st, you must of renewed your membership to continue in the competition.

Please respect any decisions taken when necessary.
